Location: Canyamel is surrounded on both sides by wooded hills 200 to 300 metres high. In the northwest of the bay are the stalactite caves which extend to the Cap Vermell.

The Torrente de Canyamel flows through the south-western Costa de Canyamel and the north-eastern Canyamel, dividing the village into the touristic southern half with hotels, pedestrian zone and the Torre de Canyamel restaurant, and the sophisticated northern half at Cap Vermell, where the golf course and the Cuevaes d'Artà are located alongside many villas. A small bridge connects both parts!

The fine sandy beach of the village is about 300 metres long and a sought-after destination in summer, but also very popular with nature lovers in winter.
